The silicone compound is food and drug administration fda compliant per 21 cfr 177 2600. The fiberglass provides dimensional stability and support to the sheet. Infinisil fiberglass inserted silicone is preferred where dimensional stability from mechanically reinforced silicone sheet rubber is required.
