Framing Wall To Concrete Floor

A raised floor is constructed with a wooden framework that bridges from one exterior wall to another.

Cut pressure treated 2 x 4 boards to length and lay them along the chalk line. Process first you should clean the area where the wall framing will be installed by cleaning sweeping and vacuuming as necessary. Subtract 3 1 4 inches to find the stud length needed. Use an impact driver to drive a 3 tapcon screw through the wood and into the floor. With the baseplate secure to the concrete floor i ve got a good base to attach my wall frame to. I use tapcon concrete screws to secure the wood to the floor. Measure from the floor to the ceiling in at least three spots in the wall location. Stand the wood frame wall up on the concrete foundation in the spot where it will be anchored. That way i can build the frame on the ground and then lift it into place.
